What makes the new 2023 Kia Sportage different from its four previous generations goes beyond a larger space. It will have class-leading rear legroom and cargo space, along with a longer body than before. Plus, it will come in both gasoline and hybrid models.

What if we told you that the 2023 Sportage will come in a plug-in hybrid?

That is correct! The 2023 Sportage PHEV will become part of a growing lineup of electrified Kia models designed to add more efficiency to your drive. It will join the Niro, Sorento, and new EV6, along with other future models that will feature either a plug-in hybrid and fully electric system.

Powering the 2023 Sportage PHEV will be a 226-horsepower turbocharged gasoline-electric drivetrain, including a 44-kilowatt electric motor. It will be capable of covering over 500 miles of driving when both the fuel tank and battery are full. Designed to reduce CO2 emissions by nearly 40 percent over the 2022 Sportage, it could return around 39 MPG.

The 2023 Sportage PHEV is available in both front-drive and Active AWD. Either way, it gives you the freedom to roam safely across the Houston area. You will also have the choice of an LX, EX, or SX-Prestige trim for your Sportage PHEV.

You will find that there is really no difference across the 2023 Sportage lineup. You can equip your PHEV model with the available dual 12.3-inch display screens. You do get eight standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, along with other available features designed to keep you safe on the road.

Arriving after the first of the year, you can place an order for your 2023 Sportage at Cowboy Kia in Conroe. Contact us to make it the way you want it – whichever driveline you choose!
