How were the awards determined?

In order to determine which vehicles really offer the best fleet value in the country, Vincentric analyzed the cost of ownership for more than 2,000 vehicle configurations. Yes, individual configurations. You’ll notice that specific trim levels were named for both Rio model winners. Vincentric pulled out all the stops, making sure that fleet purchasers know exactly which models will offer them the best value.

From the analysis, the company utilized eight different cost factors to determine each vehicle’s overall value. Those factors include depreciation, taxes & fees, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs – a lot more goes into cost of ownership than just the monthly payment or sticker price. They created a total of 28 different scenarios for the lifecycle of a vehicle and evaluated each vehicle and scenario in all 50 states to determine which vehicles truly have the best value.
