Kia expands partnership with NBA, WNBA and G League

Kia is the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and NBA G League (minor league). The G League features 30 teams, 28 affiliated with NBA franchises, and offers professional basketball at affordable prices. The league also develops top young prospects for NBA draft. In addition to on-court development and competing towards NBA G League Championship, they teach life skills including financial literacy education, community service involvement, and scholarship opportunities.
Kia has been a partner with the WNBA since 2019 and serves as the Women’s National Basketball Player’s Association (WNBPA). As such, they provide vehicles for the WNBA All-Star game and the WNBA Finals MVP Award. They also sponsor players for social justice and equality.

Kia also works with the WNBA to support community efforts, which includes the WNBA Cares Program, focusing on education, youth development, health and wellness. Kia offers the Community Assist Award, to recognize players who make significant contributions in their communities. Kia’s commitment to the WNBA promotes women’s sports and supports female athletes.

The G League is the NBA’s minor league basketball organization, comprising 30 teams and the exhibition team, G League Ignite. Every year, they present the Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award to a player. They also give awards in other categories, including Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) for this league.
The 2023 Kia Telluride X-Pro is the official vehicle of the NBA and is used in their Legends of the Driveway advertising campaign, which celebrates a 16-year partnership. The driveway is where cars and basketball converge, and this Kia sport utility is the perfect representation of Kia and the NBA’s shared commitment to auto mobility. Kia is shifting more towards electrification, and as part of the move, the company plans to give basketball fans a court side seat to the action. With the integration of electric vehicles into the NBA’s fleet, fans will have the opportunity to see and experience the latest in automotive technology up close and in person.
