KIA EV6 Wins Best EV Driver’s Choice Award

Another Big Win

Kia’s crowded trophy case will have to make space for two more. Cowboy Kia is happy to announce the 2023 Kia EV6 has been awarded both “Best of the Year” in the 41st annual MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards, as well as one of four “Best EV” models.

Throughout the year, the MotorWeek team evaluates nearly 150 vehicles based on price, practicality, performance, and fuel efficiency. For the Driver’s Choice Awards, its staff first selects the best models in each category ranging from family sedans to luxury cars, to large utilities and pickups. Out of that group of segment leaders, the EV6 was selected as “Best of the Year”.

Though Kia has offered electric models in the past, the EV6 is the first to be designed on a dedicated fully electric platform. The mid-size crossover has an operating range of 232 to 310 miles on rear-drive models with small and large batteries respectively, with an all-wheel drive model estimated at 274 miles. Its 800-volt system allows one of the fastest charge times in the industry with 80 charging in 18 minutes at fast DC-direct chargers.
